Silhouette is offering fun new products all the time and I always want what they offer…I was in Joann's fabric awhile back and this caught my eye…
What could I do with this? I loved the patterns and I knew I would use it so I bought it. I sometimes will use bits of it in my mixed media paintings or I will use it on packaging…One afternoon as I was trying to figure out how to put my business info on the back of my greeting cards it came to me…print on this fun tape and voila a cute business label!! Cheap and effective!!
Most good ideas come from customers…they ask and I come up with it…I had a neighbor wanting a special gift for her soon to be husband and asked if I ever did house portraits…I hadn't but thought I could in my style so I said yes…I received lots of orders based on that one request…here is a sampling of them…please go to my etsy shop to order yours!
My summer camp this year was for 1 week! I look back on past years and am impressed with my past self for doing 7 weeks…My Etsy store and Facebook page have both kept me so busy this year that honestly I couldn't see doing more…Although I loved it so much I added 2 fun friday camp days after it was all done…I love hanging out with the girls…they are so fun and full of stories…plus they get so much joy from painting that it makes me happy…Here are some pictures…

So a few months ago I did an online teaching class for Soul Food. It was an amazing honor that they asked me to be a part of it…I had to do an online teaching class, which meant I needed to figure out how in the world to use iMovie and use my iPhone to video myself somewhat professionally!!! I am not going to lie, I felt I was a huge dork …my family never got to see it… But the class went live and I got good feedback, people were liking my class…adults!! Ha! Starting next week, I am going to be doing lots more videos and am confident that I will get further and further away from sounding like a dork. Anyways here is a sample of some of my student's work…They were truly amazing..enjoy!

I am happy to offer you at home painting parties...Here are the deets!! Email me at sunshinegirldesigns09@gmail.com for a few possible dates you are looking at and I will respond as quickly as I can:) For local people (surrounding Chattanooga area and Signal or Lookout Mountains) you need to have a minimum of 5 people. For areas outside of these areas the minimum amount of people is higher.. Parties booked in the months of Oct- Dec will have fun holiday themed paintings to choose from. I will post pictures of these ideas soon! What is the price? $30 per person/ if you need to me to rent Bachman(my local community center) to host your party it is $35 a person. If you have less than 5 people it is $40 a person. Minimum? 5 Maximum? no limit Where? Your house:) How long? 2 hours
For this price you paint a 12 x 12 canvas and it takes every bit of 2 hours to finish! I am not a stickler on leaving right at the 2 hr mark, cause there is usually a lot of fun chatting. Do I need anything to host a party? I bring all the supplies! I can also bring tables and tablecloths but you will need to provide your own chairs. I set up and cleanup!! Can I pick what we paint? Yes!! But please keep in mind, I am teaching you a whimsical approach!! Browse through my paintings to get ideas!! Do I need to know how to paint? Absolutely not!! No experience needed!! Seriously, I teach you step by step:)

****Space will be limited, so be sure to choose your favorite camp!!
Must have completed kindergarten to attend regular sessions!
All sessions but Preschool week are from 9-2pm, preschool camp is 9-12
$150 per session, preschool camp is $75
You may choose to pay in full or just pay the deposit(this is required to hold your spot) But you must pay in full 2 weeks before your session, I will not be accepting payment the day of camp. We will start camp promptly at 9...we have alot of fun stuff to get done!!

Lets kick the summer off with working on a collaged sun and painting whimsical flowers. We will be working on some new techniques in this class. We will be painting our own painted paper to use in collage.
